Low Flow High Head Impeller

A new impeller and in the end pump casing were designed in conjunction with two companies who performed FEA on the hydraulic geometry to try and simulate performance. From the simulated geometry I chose the best fabrication method for both prototype and production versions of the impeller. The picture shows the prototype design which was an aluminium investment casting that was then machined and welded to a machined cover with similar material properties.
